Wound care is one of the nurses' skills that should be known by all nurses. Data shows that five out of eight nurses are not aware of modern wound dressing techniques. This condition was becoming a cause for concern because inadequate knowledge can make a non-comprehensive wound assessment and treatment that can slow down or even hinder the client's wound healing process. This study aimed to determine the description of nurses' knowledge of modern dressing wound care. Quantitative descriptive methods with total sampling techniques were conducted on 50 respondents who worked in the inpatient rooms on 5th, 6th, and 7th floor in June-July 2019. Univariate analysis was used to obtain an overview of nurses' knowledge of modern dressing wound care techniques. Most of the nurses' knowledge about modern wound dressing care has sufficient knowledge, namely 33 people (66%). Special training and seminars on modern dressing need to be carried out to increase knowledge and ensure the authority of nurses in wound care. Further researchers are advised to identify factors that influence nurses' knowledge of modern dressing wound care.

Anggiriani Meilin Br. The instruments used were Glucose Monitoring Satisfaction Survey (GMSS), Diabetes Quality of Life Brief (DQoL Brief), Diabetes Self Management Questionnaire (DSMQ). Data analysis used Pearson test. The results showed respondents (78.4%) were female, (58.8%) had hypertension complications, (84.3%) financial support using BPJS, (62.7%) using insulin binding 32. The average age of 50.73 years, SMBG satisfaction 49.43, quality of life 49.84 , diabetes self management 28. There was a significant relationship between SMBG satisfaction and quality of life (p = 0.000). Satisfaction of SMBG improves quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Shanty Chloranyta, Yulia Yulia, Masfuri Sodikin ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/419 Fri, 22 Nov 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Peran Kepala Ruangan dan Supervisor Keperawatan dengan Motivasi Perawat dalam Melakukan Dokumentasi Keperawatan http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/409
NGood nursing documentation is inseparable from nurse motivation. Motivation of nurses is influenced internally and externally, one of them through the role of the head nursee and nurse supervisor To find out the relationship between the role of head nurses and nurse supervisor with the motivation of nurses in carrying out nursing documentation at Idaman Hospital in Banjarbaru City. The research used correlational study with a cross sectional approach and probability sampling technique with a type of simple random sampling. The sample in the study were 67 nurses in the inpatient room of Idaman Hospital, Banjarbaru City. Data retrieval was done by giving a questionnaire. Test analysis used Pearson correlation. The results of the study showed an average head role of 51.10, room supervisors averaged 32.81 and nurses' motivation averaged 33.61. These results indicate the head nurse and nurse supervisor often perform their roles and motivation of nurses is high. The results of the analysis found a positive relationship between the role of the head nurse and nurses' motivation in conducting nursing documentation in Idaman Hospital in Banjarbaru City (p Value = <0001;95%CI) and there was a positive relationship between the role of room supervisor and nurse motivation in conducting nursing documentation at RSD Idaman Banjarbaru City (p Value = <0001;95%CI). The role of the head nurse and the supervisor of the room can influence the level of motivation of nurses in conducting nursing documentation so that the head nurse and nurse supervisor are expected to perform their roles well.
Peggy Passya, Ichsan Rizany, Herry Setiawan ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/409 Fri, 22 Nov 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Studi Kualitatif Pemahaman Perawat Intensive Care Unit tentang Pengkajian Nyeri Behaviour Pain Scale http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/411

Assessment is the initial nursing process. In the nursing assessment obtained information about patient data used as a baseline and determine the next stage. Patients in intensive rooms with ventilators often received nursing actions that cause pain. Pain assessment in patients using ventilators must use special assessment techniques. Patients with ventilators require standardized assessment methods because they cannot communicate the pain they feel verbally. Payen in 2001 developed the Behavioral Pain Scale (BPS). Critical patients who are fitted with ventilators need a systematic and consistent assessment of pain. Understanding is the ability to explain correctly and in detail about something. Before performing an action properly one needs to understand the action. This study aimed to determine the experience and understanding of ICU nurses about pain assessment using BPS at M Yunus Bengkulu General Hospital. This study used the qualitative study that focus on disclosing nurses' understanding of pain assessment using BPS. Themes that emerged in this study were 1. use BPS, 2. Three items in the BPS assessment, 3. Indicators assessing pain, 4. Maximum minimum scoring, 5. Range of pain values. Nurse’s understanding about BPS was very necessary.
Fatimah Khoirini, Rahma Annisa ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/411 Sun, 24 Nov 2019 00:00:00 +0000 Senam Prolanis Menurunkan Tekanan Darah Lansia Penderita Hipertensi http://jurnal.poltekkes-kemenkes-bengkulu.ac.id/index.php/jkr/article/view/401
Hypertension is the cause of death of about 12.8% of total deaths in the world.
